TLDR: The Galaxy A52 lineup reaches the end of major Android updates, remaining on One UI 6.1 (Android 14). Still usable, with upgrade options available.
The Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s will no longer receive major Android updates, according to SamMobile.
Remaining on One UI 6.1
The lineup will remain on its latest update, One UI 6.1, which is based on Android 14.
While new features will likely not come to these handsets, they will still function as usual.
A Good Run
The Galaxy A52 series had a good run since its debut in 2021 with Android 11, receiving important updates like Android 13 over the past few years.
Despite not receiving the upcoming Android 15 update later this year, the lineup is still in a good place with the latest One UI 6.1 update.
No Need to Throw Away
Just because the phone will no longer receive major updates doesn’t mean you need to throw it away immediately.
It’s still a perfectly good phone that you can use for some time.
Upgrade Options
For those who love using the latest and greatest, now is a great time to choose a new phone.
Fantastic budget options are starting at around $110, and since the Galaxy A55 isn’t available in the US, these are excellent alternatives.
The Galaxy A54 is also a fantastic replacement for the A52.
Plenty of Choices
With no shortage of options available, users can find a suitable device that fits their needs and preferences.
